My Mom and the Pear

Today is my mom's birthday. I am one lucky woman to have such a wonderful mom and I cherish my relationship with her. In honor of her birthday, I am sharing again a little story from our trip to Ireland last summer. We had a great trip together: counting sheep, exploring towns, eating at pubs and getting lost. However, my mom always seems to put a unique spin on things. This trip is was the pear that caused me to roll my eyes. Enjoy!

Let me tell you the story of the Pear in Ireland. This lovely pear was picked up in the lobby of the Radisson Blu Dublin after our international flight. Beautiful, but hard as a rock. But Mom does not abandon something with potential. So she packed it up in a bottle cozy sleeve that she happened to pack for our international trip. One never knows what may come in handy!
So Pear travelled with us to Galway and the Ardulian Hotel by train. And in the car from Galway to the Cliff of Moher. And further on to Killarney and the Killarney Royal. It enjoyed its time in the fancy room, but was still pretty hard so continued on our journey. Pear thought the Cliff House Hotel in Ardmore was truly amazing with its hospitality and views, but didn’t truly soften. So on it went, back to Dublin to the Hilton Dublin. After 9 days, Pear was pear-fect for our last breakfast. #ireland #irishstorytelling #travelireland #bucketlistadventures #travelingwithmom #pear
